As the Recreation Supervisor at the Clarendon Hills Park District and the enthusiastic "Christmas Elf" for our local "You've Been Elfed" initiative, I had the pleasure of spreading holiday cheer across the community. Over my tenure, I dressed as an elf and delivered over 2,000 candy canes to families enrolled through the Park District, adding a magical touch to our festive traditions. Beyond the distribution of candy canes, I personalized hundreds of "Letters from Santa," making each child feel exceptionally special. This initiative, which started during the pandemic to maintain safe holiday traditions, not only delivered countless smiles to the children of our community but also profoundly enriched the spirit of Christmas. Having moved on, I look back with fondness at this heartwarming tradition that I was proud to be part of, which brought joy to my role and to the families of Clarendon Hills each holiday season.
